On Aug. 30, Winter Springs police said they responded to a home on Bombay Avenue in reference to an alleged battery call.

Police said the woman, identified as Anna Mae Wilson, 60, was outside the home with a dog that belonged to Timothy McGuire.

A report said Wilson and McGuire, who were roommates, then got into a fight.

According to investigators, McGuire pushed Wilson to the ground. She was taken to a hospital and McGuire was arrested for misdemeanor battery.

Police said initially, McGuire denied getting into a fight with anyone. But once he was at the hospital, McGuire said that he “pushed someone but that it wasn’t purposeful.”

In September, investigators said Wilson’s condition worsened.

Doctors said Wilson suffered a skull fracture and was bleeding in her brain.

According to a report, she was later put into a rehabilitation center but returned to a hospital after she had a stroke.

She died on Sept. 24.

An autopsy later found that Wilson died “as a result of sequelae craniocerebral trauma.”
