FLAGLER BEACH, Fla. — Crews in Flagler Beach are continuing to make progress on the city’s new fishing pier.
Workers have installed long, white concrete structures and added caps and stringers, creating the foundation for the pier’s deck.
The city says the temporary work platform alongside the new pier is expected to be removed in the coming months.
The previous Flagler Beach Pier was demolished after suffering extensive damage from hurricanes Ian and Nicole in 2022.
