ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The Orange County Sheriff's Office is trying to crack down on prostitution, but its plan is hitting road blocks.
So far this year, there have been at least 110 arrests for prostitution in Orange County, which is already more than all of last year. In 2011, there were 93 arrests.
The Sheriff's Office is encouraging motel owners along Orange Blossom Trail to trespass women who keep returning, but many of them rely on the women for business and won't cooperate.
WFTV asked the Sheriff's Office what it thinks is causing the spike in prostitution, but it couldn't give us a reason.
