• Search underway for shooter after one killed in Melbourne, police say

    MELBOURNE, Fla. - A search is underway Thursday afternoon for the shooter who killed a man in Melbourne, police said.

    The shooting happened just before 12 p.m. at the Park at Via Terrossa apartments in the 1200 block of Palm Bay Road in Melbourne.

    The name of the victim has not been released.

    Police said they're searching for a person of interest driving an early 2000 gold SUV with bumper stickers on it.

    No other information has been released.
