Seminole County woman wins $1 million playing lottery scratch-off game

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — A Seminole County woman is feeling lucky after winning a $1 million prize from a scratch-off lottery ticket.

Florida Lottery officials announced Altamonte Springs resident Annette Hagmann, 68, claimed a $1 million prize from the Gold Rush Limited game.

Officials said she chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $795,000.

Hagmann bought her winning ticket from the Circle K at 1140 South County Road 427 in Longwood.

The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

The $20 scratch-off game started in September 2021 and features 32 top prizes of $5 million and 100 prizes of $1 million.

Officials said scratch-off games make up around 77% of tickets sold last year.
