SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — A Seminole County man is accused of taking nude pictures of a young girl on his cellphone.
Sanford police arrested Douglas Scheels and charged him with 10 counts of child pornography possession, child abuse and lewd and lascivious behavior.
Detectives said someone found the images on the 39-year-old's phone and contacted police.
Records show Scheels was honorably discharged from the military and is currently unemployed. No one at the suspect's home was willing to talk to Eyewitness News.
According to investigators, Scheels denied knowing about the images or even owning his phone, which was confiscated along with other electronic devices.
Scheels is being held at the Seminole County Jail without bond. Detectives said so far there is one victim and they're working to determine if there's any others.
