Suspicious stuffed animal prompts school lockdown in Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A suspicious stuffed animal prompted authorities to lockdown several schools in Orange County for a short time early Monday morning.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call along Crystal Glen Boulevard and Rollman Road.

Investigators said an abandoned rocking horse had a suspicious black item strapped to it. Crews secured the scene and ordered nearby schools to go on lockdown.

The lock down was lifted after investigators said they removed the object without incident.
