Swan and Dolphin Resort worker accused of snooping through personal information

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. — Investigators learned a worker at the Swan and Dolphin Resort on Walt Disney World property was snooping through personal information of others.

Investigators said 26-year-old Bryant Plosch, a security officer at the resort, was supposed to use the database to protect guests. Instead, officials said they caught him logging in from his home computer and going through files.

Deputies said Plosch used the resort's passcodes dozens of times to access Social Security numbers, home addresses and bank accounts.

It's hard to say what Plosch planned to do with the information.

The database company and the resort were pretty quick to catch the activity, officials said.

Sheriff's investigators said Plosch had possession of personal identification information of other people without their permission.

According to court records, the resort uses the database to run license plates to match up with guests, but investigators said Plosch took it a step further. He went home, used resort codes and obtained comprehensive reports on 25 different people and ran several other searches, authorities said. None of the 25 victims were guests at the hotel, officials said.

The resort itself is not operated by Disney.  Resort officials said Plosch is no longer employed.
