BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. — One of three suspects charged in a violent attack in Satellite Beach will be prosecuted as an adult, the State Attorney's Office said.
Dylan Thomas, 17, was transferred to the Brevard County Jail, where he'll be held with adults.
Thomas is accused of beating Daniel Vukovich, 17, with a crowbar in February. Investigators said Thomas believed the victim had stole marijuana from him. Vukovich was left in critical condition following the attack.

Two other teenagers, Jessie Umberger and Rebecca Gotay, were also charged in connection with the incident. Gotay has bonded out of jail, while Umberger is still in custody, according to officials.
Prosecutors told Channel 9 that the complexity of the case played a role in Thomas being charged as an adult.
"The juvenile court is not adequate to handle an offense of this nature with the complexity of the alleged planning and preparation, and the carrying out of the attack," Assistant State Attorney Michael Hunt said.
Thomas, Gotay and Umberger face attempted first-degree murder charges. Thomas is being held on a $1.1 million bond.
