Traveling during the pandemic? Rules, testing requirements can change on the daily, travel agent says

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Booking a trip the pandemic is just the first of many steps you may have to take before your vacation can begin.

Winter Park travel agent Mary Delello, with All About Travel, said there are varying rules in place for many destinations before you even get on the plane.

She said while the doors to Europe are still closed to Americans, a getaway to some islands is still possible if you’re ready for a list of requirements and a few surprises.

She said rapid COVID-19 testing sites, like the new one that opened this week on 33rd Street near the Mall at Millenia, are helpful for travelers who need results fast.

Some countries, she said, require a negative COVID-19 test days before your trip.

“Just do your homework and be safe,” she said.
