ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol troopers is asking anyone who may have witnessed a deadly crash to give them a call.

Troopers said one person died in a crash on Florida’s Turnpike on Friday morning.
The crash closed northbound lanes of the Turnpike near Sand Lake Road for hours.

Troopers said the crash involved a Jeep Cherokee and Volkswagen Jetta.
Official said they are investigating what caused the collision.

Lanes have reopened and traffic is back up to speed in the area.
