Driver dies in Lake County crash

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol was investigating a fatal crash in Lake County on Monday morning.

Troopers said the crash happened on SR-44 near Fentress Lane just after 6 a.m.

According to investigators, one vehicle overturned after crashing head-on into another vehicle.

The driver of the overturned vehicle died at the scene.

SR-44 was shut down while troopers investigate the crash.
