Troopers: Lake County hit-and-run driver arrested for crash that killed 1, injured another

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol arrested a woman Thursday accused of hitting and killing a man in Lake County last September.

Troopers said Tara Schiessle, 31, was arrested on several charges including of leaving the scene of a crash involving death.

Troopers said she hit two people walking on Rolling Acres Road and West Lakeview Street last September.

A 40-year-old woman died, and a 31-year-old man was seriously hurt.
