FLORIDA — Channel 9 has obtained new evidence that shows how the so-called ninja robbers terrorized families across Florida.
Video shows the robbers confronting a man at a drive-through window and even walking in on a family as they swam in their back yard swimming pool.
The drive-through video from South Florida shows the robbers telling a man to put his hands behind his back.
The victim begged the men to let him go, saying he has a 3-year-old at home.
"Don't shoot me. Just let me walk out," he told them.
Shortly after that robbery in Immokalee, one of the suspects who was eventually arrested, Andres Perez, took his family to Disney World, according to the documents obtained by Channel 9's Julie Salomone.
Investigators first arrested three men and then later picked up another two after nine robberies in South Florida and two in central Florida, including one in Windermere.
The suspects targeted wealthy homeowners and used zip ties and duct tape to tie their victims up.
New crime scene photos show marks the tape and ties left behind on the victims.
In another home invasion in Naples, the masked men confronted two 12-year-olds playing at the pool around 10 p.m., held them at gunpoint and then robbed the adults inside.
In some of the home invasions a land line phone was ripped out of the wall before the men took off, and cellphones were sometimes tossed in the toilet. It's all evidence prosecutors plan to use to help keep the so-called ninja robbers behind bars.
