VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Volusia County will host a free Camouflage to Corporate workshop on Thursday, Sept. 17, to help local employers recruit, hire, and retain military talent. The program will run from 10 am to 3 pm at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach.
More than 50,000 veterans reside in Volusia County, bringing leadership, discipline, and specialized technical training to the area. The upcoming workshop aims to show local business leaders how to connect with and hire from that talent pool.
Registration for the free event begins at 9 am at 101 N. Atlantic Ave. Volusia County Veterans Services is partnering with NXT Mission and CareerSource Brevard, Flagler, and Volusia to present the program to local employers, educators, and organizations.
Workshop topics will cover best practices for hiring veterans and military spouses, a workforce segment that frequently faces employment challenges due to relocations. Sessions will also focus on workforce partnership development, employer education, available resources, and veteran retention strategies.
The workshop is part of Volusia Values Veterans, a program launched last year. The initiative was created to establish Volusia County as a veteran-friendly community through a coordinated framework of services, recognition, and employment opportunities.
