Closing arguments set in trial of accused serial killer in Daytona Beach

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Closing arguments are set to start Monday in the trial of an accused serial killer in Daytona Beach.

Prosecutors said Robert Hayes murdered three women between 2005 and 2006, while he was a student at Bethune-Cookman University.

Testimony in the trial has been going all week.

Prosecutors said ballistics and DNA evidence point to Hayes being behind the killings.

Hayes is also accused of murdering a woman in Palm Beach County in 2016.
