VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash that occurred Saturday morning.
Troopers said a 20-year-old man from DeLeon Springs was driving a pickup truck eastbound on State Road 40.

For an unknown reason, the man left the roadway near Alice Drive at around 7:20 a.m. and crashed into a utility pole.
Troopers said the man was partially ejected during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials said the crash remains under investigation and the driver has not been identified.
