Driver in dump truck flees after crash that injured multiple people in Daytona Beach, police say

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — A driver in a dump truck fled the scene after crashing into several vehicles and injuring multiple people in Daytona Beach, according to police.

Officers said the crash happened at around 12:54 p.m. near 2250 West International Speedway Boulevard.

The driver of the dump truck fled the scene after the crash, but was later found and placed in custody, police said.

Police have not confirmed how many people were injured in the incident.
