‘The Naked Cowboy’ settles lawsuit with Daytona Beach after Bike Week arrest

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — The city of Daytona Beach has agreed to settle a lawsuit, filed by a performer known as “The Naked Cowboy.”

Daytona Beach police arrested the man, whose real name is Robert Burck, during Daytona Bike Week 2021.

Officers said he was violating the city’s panhandling ordinance.

Burck argued the ordinance was unconstitutional.

The $90,0000 settlement that the city agreed to Wednesday night does not include repealing the ordinance or admitting any fault.
