LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — The Warrior Games will return to Walt Disney World Resort in August 2027.
The annual adaptive sports competition for wounded, ill and injured service members and veterans will once again be held at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. It marks the third time the event has been hosted at Walt Disney World, following the 2022 and 2024 games.
Nearly 200 competitors will take part in 12 adaptive sports, including archery, cycling, indoor rowing, pickleball, powerlifting, swimming, track, wheelchair basketball and wheelchair rugby. Athletes will represent the Army, Marine Corps, Navy and Coast Guard, Air Force and Space Force, and U.S. Special Operations Command.
Disney announced the event during a press conference and pickleball demonstration at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Officials said additional details about the 2027 Warrior Games will be announced at a later date.
