WINTER GARDEN, Fla. — A home engulfed in flames, and a Street riddled with bullets.

One Winter Garden community has gone through two tragedies back-to-back, and some neighbors think the incidents are connected.

At 2:45 a.m. April 6, a fire took over half a home on Siplin Road in Winter Garden.

On Friday, 18 minutes after a community healing event ended, police told Channel 9 two men were shot.

Multiple neighbors told Channel 9 that the owner of the home was in the hospital recovering from a shooting. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office did not provide further details.

The fire investigation has been handed over to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
