Authorities said Bachmann was angry about who would get to sit in the front seat as her mother drove home from the fair.

Police said Bachmann was sitting in the road after arguing with her family following a trip to the Central Florida Fair on Feb. 28. Authorities said Bachmann was angry about who would get to sit in the front seat as her mother drove home from the fair.

As her mother tried to get her back into the car, Miller's vehicle crashed into the teen.

Bachmann was killed, and her mother was injured.

Apopka police said Miller had glassy eyes and reeked of alcohol. According to Apopka police, Miller's blood-alcohol level was .110, which is well over the legal limit.

WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer said if convicted, Miller could face a maximum of 15 years behind bars. The mandatory minimum sentence for manslaughter is four years.

Bachmann was part of the Future Farmers of America program and had been working on a project where she was preparing to showcase a hog at the Central Florida Fair just before she died.

Bachmann's teacher told WFTV she was trying to raise funds from the hog that was being auctioned off, hoping the funds would go to her family for funeral costs.
