ORLANDO, Fla.,None — Orlando police are searching for someone who is posing as an employee of the Department of Children and Families.
According to police, the suspect went to the Summerfield Apartments on Kirkman Road and told a resident that he was a DCF employee and was there to take custody of their 1-year-old granddaughter. The resident told the suspect that the granddaughter wasn’t there.
Police describe the suspect as a white male in his mid to late 30s. He is about 5’9” and was seen wearing a blue polo shirt and slacks. The man also had a gold badge around his neck.
According to police the resident believes that the badge had the words Department of Children and Families on it, and a State of Florida seal in the center.
