Metro PCS Employee Fights Off Armed Robber

CASSELBERRY, Fla. — A Casselberry Metro PCS store employee managed to fight off an armed robber and it was all caught on camera.

Will Hernandes was behind the counter on Wednesday when the suspect, Michael Douglas, came around the corner with his gun drawn.

Douglas jumped over the counter, but Hernandes fought back because he thought the gun was not real.

In the video, Hernandes is seen shoving him out the front door.

"I pushed him back and say, ‘So shoot me…if you're going to shoot me with that gun, shoot me," Hernandes said.

When Douglas tried to shoot, nothing happened.

A police report says the gun was real but for some reason, Douglas mistakenly released the bullets so they fell out. He faces several charges, including armed robbery.
