None — The Orlando Predators have confirmed that head coach Pat O'Hara has been let go after the team was knocked out of the first round of the playoffs by Jacksonville on Friday.
Wed like to thank Coach OHara for his professionalism and leadership over the past two years and all hes done for the organization, Preds Managing Partner Brett Bouchy said in a press release. Hell always be a part of the Orlando Predators, but weve decided that the time has come to move in a different direction.
O'Hara had been the Preds head coach for two seasons taking the team to the playoffs in each. He had a 19-15 record with Orlando.
I appreciate the opportunity I was given to coach the team I once played for and won two championships with, OHara said. I wish the Predators organization the best of luck moving forward.
O'Hara also played 12 years in the AFL including six for the Predators. He was drafted into the NFL by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 10th round of the 1991 NFL Draft.
Bouchy says the Predators already have already narrowed their search for a replacement to two candidates, Brett Muncie and Doug Plank, two former AFL coaches who have taken teams to the championship game in the past.
