OCOEE, Fla. — A man accused of exposing himself to a girl inside a Walmart store Sunday afternoon was arrested Monday. The suspect in the case has been identified as 43-year-old David M. Huffman, who officers say is a registered sexual offender.
Police say Huffman is a transient.
Detectives obtained a felony arrest warrant for Huffman, charging him with lewd and lascivious exhibition to a child under 16 years of age. Upon obtaining the warrant, an Orange County Sheriff's Office investigator located and arrested Huffman.
Huffman is being interviewed by detectives from the Ocoee Police Department and the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators said Huffman opened his trench coat and exposed his sexual organs in front of a girl at the store on West Colonial Drive ( see map ) in Ocoee. According to police, the young girl was shopping with her mother when the incident happened.
The victim's mother tried to catch him, but he got away.
