BARTOW, Fla. — The Polk County School Board has rescinded plans to give away iPod Nanos to some parents of disabled students.
The school system planned to give the $150 Nanos to parents who took an online survey, but the move became controversial. The Florida Department of Education said that the funds for the program needed to be used directly for students.
