Summer is headed our way in a matter of weeks, friends! Memorial Day weekend is approaching, and after that it’s time for hot temperatures, beach days, and lots of summer fun… and Toyota of Orlando is helping Camp Boggy Creek get ready for it all by holding a Pre-Summer Camp Drive to collect much-needed camp supplies for the upcoming season!
What is Camp Boggy Creek?
Camp Boggy Creek is a local non-profit summer camp that specifically serves children who are undergoing severe life-threatening or terminal illnesses. These kids wouldn’t be physically able to attend another summer camp due to their conditions, and they face the stress of coping with their illnesses and being excluded from normal activities every single day. Camp Boggy Creek offers them a place where they can experience summer camp, be surrounded by other kids just like them, and still receive the important medical care that they need!
Help Toyota of Orlando and Toyota of Clermont give back!
Toyota of Orlando and Toyota of Clermont are thrilled to team up and support this exceptional organization. Camp Boggy Creek serves children who suffer from conditions like cancer, epilepsy, sickle cell anemia, heart disorders and diseases, spina bifida, and more. They are an essential part of the community here in Central Florida, which is why our family is so dedicated to getting them the supplies that they need! Here are the details for our Pre-Summer Camp Drive:
Where: Toyota of Orlando (3575 Vineland Road) and Toyota of Clermont (16851 State Road 50) – a barrel is waiting for you at each dealership. It’s right by the front doors, so keep your eyes open!
When: The entire month of May (May 1-May 31, 2014).
Why: Camp Boggy Creek is kicking off their summer camp season, and they need supplies to keep the campers happy and healthy. They run entirely off of donations, so they’re counting on us!
What: We’re collecting a variety of much-needed supplies for the camp, including:

- Children's crafts
- Latex-free swim goggles for the pool
- Latex-free fishing equipment
- Large golf umbrellas
- Ponchos
- Medical hot and cold packs
- Rite Dye – assorted colors
