Ben Carson, retired neurosurgeon and former Republican candidate for president, endorsed Donald Trump for president Friday at a news conference in Florida.
Carson praised Trump and said the billionaire wants "the voice of the people to be heard."
Then, Carson said this, "He's actually a very intelligent man who cares deeply about America. There's two different Donald Trumps. There's the one you see on stage and the one that's very cerebral, sits there and considers things very carefully."
That was all it took for Twitter to kick into gear. Here’s a sampling of the responses:
Reporters are apparently very interested in there being two Donald Trumps.
