WASHINGTON — White House officials on Wednesday released a rough, five-page transcript of a July call between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky after their conversation sparked a whistleblower complaint against Trump.
Officials said the transcript was not verbatim but instead culled together from the notes and recollections of officials assigned to listen to and memorialize the conversation.
