Vanita “Vera” Richardson, 19, and Clarice Truvenia “Bean” Campbell, 30, were found underneath the East Rome Bypass bridge over the Etowah River by workers near Grizzard Park on May 13.

911 calls from the people who found the bodies said that they had bags over their heads and that their clothing was tattered.

Last week, the GBI said it was looking for a car belonging to one of the victims. Investigators believe Richardson’s car, a gold 1997 Toyota Corolla is in the metro Atlanta area.

This investigation remains active and ongoing.
