Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau tested positive Monday for COVID-19.
In a statement posted on social media, Trudeau said he was “feeling fine” and plans to work remotely as he recovers.
“Everyone, please get vaccinated and get boosted,” he wrote.

Trudeau has been in isolation since late last week, when one of his children tested positive for COVID-19, according to CBC News. He is fully vaccinated and has gotten a booster shot, the news network reported.
On Monday, the Canadian prime minister said two of his three children have tested positive for COVID-19.
As of Jan. 22, the last date for which data is available, nearly 78% of the Canadian population, or 29.8 million people, has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to health officials. Nearly 84% of the population -- 32 million people -- has gotten at least one vaccine dose, and 37% of those who have been fully vaccinated have gotten a booster dose.
Officials have confirmed more than 3 million COVID-19 infections and reported over 33,000 deaths across Canada, according to numbers compiled by Johns Hopkins University. More than 375.4 million COVID-19 cases have been reported worldwide, resulting in 5.6 million deaths, according to the university.
