Coronavirus: Hallmark Channel to air Christmas movies during pandemic self-quarantines

The calendar may say spring, but it’s going to look like Christmas this weekend at least on television.

The Hallmark Channel is going to have a Christmas movie marathon starting at noon Friday to help battle the COVID-19, or the new coronavirus, blues.

Fans of the sappy, formulaic movies can catch 27 “Countdown to Christmas” made for TV movies, Entertainment Tonight reported.

It will end Sunday with the 6 p.m. showing of “Christmas in Rome.”

One non-Christmas movie will be shown during the marathon of snow and all things Santa -- the channel’s new film “In the Key of Love” will hit the small screen on Saturday at 9 p.m. There will also be previews for other “Spring Fling” branded Hallmark movies.
