Coronavirus: Phoenix radio station will play Christmas music this weekend

PHOENIX — There is nothing wrong with having some Christmas cheer early -- even if it is only March.

As spirits darken during the coronavirus pandemic, some people have resorted to hanging out their Christmas lights early. Now, a Phoenix radio station is taking the Yuletide feeling an extra step, announcing it will play Christmas music this weekend, KNXV reported.

FM station KEZ announced on its website it would play Christmas Music on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7 p.m. to midnight.

“People are asking us to play it, let’s play some," KEZ morning host Beth McDonald announced on the station’s website. "You know me, I love Christmas music. I listen to Charlie Brown Christmas all year. If it helps people, let’s do it.”
