In a statement shared on social media, Crosby, Stills and Graham Nash said that they “support Neil (Young)” and “agree with him that there is dangerous disinformation being aired on Spotify’s Joe Rogan podcast.”

“While we always value alternate points of view, knowingly spreading disinformation during this global pandemic has deadly consequences,” the trio wrote. “Until real action is taken to show that a concern for humanity must be balanced with commerce, we don’t want our music – or the music we made together – to be on the same platform.”

The announcement came one day after Nash shared support for Young on social media, writing in a post that Rogan spread “disinformation” on Spotify, which he defined as “knowingly false” information “intended to mislead and sway (public) opinion.” He added that such disinformation “could cost people their lives.”

In an open letter published online last month, medical experts urged Spotify to create a misinformation policy, pointing to a December episode of the “Joe Rogan Experience” that critics say promoted baseless conspiracy theories about COVID-19 vaccines.
