January brings snow to the Florida panhandle.
As the National Capital Region is all but shut down due to winter weather, the northern part of Florida isn’t being left out in the snow.
The Pensacola area saw snow flurries, WEAR-TV reported.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s office and the Walton County Sheriff also shared some of the flurries they saw around the area, WEAR-TV reported.
One woman told WTVT that her video doorbell was able to catch some of the snow on video.
“I was pretty excited to see snow,” Tiffany Crile, who lives in DeFuniak Springs, Florida, told the station. “However it is extremely cold. My heat is getting its use today.”
