The limited series is based on Wondery’s ‘Joe Exotic’ podcast and will follow Carole Baskin as she discovers Joe Exotic is trying to make money off of his big cats, People Magazine reported.

The trailer, which features Kate McKinnon as Carole Baskin and John Cameron Mitchell as Joe Exotic, shows both as readying for war with one another, with McKinnon as Baskin saying, “Whoever you are, we’re comin’ for ya.”

Etan Frankel, the writer and executive producer of the series, told Variety, “It’s a fun and rich journey into the story of people who live very extreme lives. When I took on this project a year and a half ago, I found Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin to be utterly fascinating, and this crazy tale about two big cat lovers quickly became an important story for me to tell. I hope that when people watch ‘Joe vs. Carole’ just maybe they’ll see these people that they thought they knew in a brand-new way.”

Joe Exotic himself is suffering from an aggressive form of prostate cancer, as we previously reported, and was moved in November to a medical facility as he serves a prison sentence.

The show begins streaming on Peacock on March 3.
