Actress Gina Rodriguez had plenty to celebrate on her 38th birthday Saturday. Another year older, and finally pregnant.
Rodriguez, 38, who played the title role in 100 episodes of “Jane the Virgin” from 2014 to 2019, wrote in an Instagram post that she and her husband, actor Joe LoCicero, are expecting their first child together, People reported.
“This birthday hits different,” Rodriguez wrote.
The post, set to Calum Scott’s song “You Are The Reason,” shows a montage of photographs and videos of Rodriguez and LoCicero, Entertainment Tonight reported.
The song contains the spoken lyric, “Anyone can want you, but the love hits different when someone actually values you.”
Rodriguez fights back tears as she shows the positive pregnancy result near the conclusion of the post.
The news of Rodriguez’s impending arrival comes three years after she married LoCicero, 35, in May 2019, according to Entertainment Tonight.
The couple met on the set of “Jane the Virgin” in 2016, People reported. LoCicero, an MMA fighter, played a stripper in the episode “Don Quixote Stripper,” according to IMDb.com. He would have guest roles on four episodes between 2017 and 2019.
Rodriguez and LoCicero got engaged in 2018, according to People.
