CONCORD, N.H. — A man has been indicted on charges in connection with the murder of a couple whose bodies were found near a hiking trail in New Hampshire last year.
Attorney General John M. Formella and Concord police Chief Bradley Osgood announced in a news release on Friday that Logan Clegg, 26, has been indicted by the Merrimack County Jury in connection with the murders of Stephen and Djeswende Reid on Apr. 18, 2022.
Clegg has been indicted on four counts of second-degree murder, three counts of falsifying physical evidence, and convicted felon, according to the news release.
Stephen and Djeswende Reid reportedly went for a walk on Apr. 18, 2022, in the area of the Broken Ground Trails. According to WFXT, after their family reported them missing, their bodies were found days later in the woods just outside of Concord.
Clegg was initially considered a person of interest and was arrested in Vermont in October, according to WFXT.
Clegg was also reportedly involved in a deadly stabbing in Spokane, Washington, in May 2018. According to WFXT, in that incident, Corey Ward died as a result of the injuries he sustained during an altercation with Clegg. Clegg reportedly told investigators that he did it in self-defense and was never charged.
Clegg is being held without bail and expected to be arraigned on Jan. 30, according to WFXT.
