NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. — A pair of American bald eagles have a new addition to their family.
Harriet and M15, who are featured on the Southwest Florida Eagle Cam, welcomed their second eaglet of the year, nicknamed E22, when it hatched Saturday at about 9:30 a.m. EST, WINK-TV reported.
The tiny bird emerged from its egg to join its sibling, E21, according to WFLA-TV.
The official Twitter account of SWFL Eagle Cam announced that the two eggs were laid in November and December 2022, WFTX reported.

On Dec. the account announced that “Hatch Watch” had begun, according to the television station.
On Tuesday, the first crack in the egg, called a “pip,” was observed in the first egg. E21 was fully hatched the next day, WFTX reported.
The eaglets appear to be in good health and are already feeding, WFLA reported. Harriet continues to shelter her babies.
In 2022, Harriet and M15 raised E19 and E20 until the two juveniles left their nest last spring, according to the television station. E19 hatched on Dec. 27, 2021.
The first year a camera was set up to watch the eagles around the clock was in 2012, WTSP-TV reported.
