Renowned gospel singer LaShun Pace dead at 60

ATLANTA — Lashun Pace, a gospel singer from Atlanta who rose to fame performing with her sisters, has died at age 60, her management company confirmed to WSB-TV.

Pace performed both solo and with her eight sisters in the Grammy-nominated group The Anointed Pace Sisters.

Pace eventually went to the big screen, appearing as the Angel of Mercy in the 1992 movie “Leap of Faith,” WSB-TV reported.

In 2007, Pace was inducted in the Christian Music Hall of Fame. In January 2015, she and the rest of The Anointed Pace Sisters were honored at the 16th Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards.

Pace had suffered from a number of health issues, including cancer and a ruptured esophagus, WSB-TV reported. Her cause of death was not immediately released.
