Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson gets her own bobblehead

MILWAUKEE — Katanji Brown Jackson broke ground as the first Black woman to be confirmed on the Supreme Court. Now, the newest justice to the nation’s highest court can add another honor to her résumé -- a bobblehead made in her image.

Brown Jackson 51, who was sworn in as the 116th Supreme Court justice on June 30, will be featured as a bobblehead, according to a news release by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum.

The Milwaukee-based museum is selling the Brown Jackson bobblehead for $30. The 7-inch figure features Brown standing in a robe in front of a replica of the Supreme Court, The Hill reported. The limited-edition bobbleheads are scheduled to ship in September, according to the Milwaukee-based museum’s website.

“We are excited to release this bobblehead of Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson,” Phil Sklar, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO said in a statement. “When the Senate voted to confirm Judge Jackson, history was made. We celebrate the momentous day in the 233-year history of the Supreme Court.”

The museum also released a series of Supreme Court bobbleheads that will feature 16 current and former justices. The list includes Chief Justice John Roberts and justices Samuel Alito, Stephen Breyer, Neil Gorsuch, Elena Kagan, Clarence Thomas, Sonia Sotomayor and Brett Kavanaugh.

Former justices will include Anthony Kennedy, Thurgood Marshall, Sandra Day O’Connor, William Rehnquist, Antonin Scalia, David Souter, John Paul Stevens and Earl Warren.

Figures of former justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and current justice Amy Coney Barrett have been previously released by the museum.

The Supreme Court collection will ship in December.

“We wanted to provide the public with the chance to collect bobbleheads representing the Supreme Court justices that have a very influential impact on our lives given their roles in our government and the impact their decisions have (made),” Sklar said in his statement.
