What to do if you lose your COVID-19 vaccination card

You’ve had the shots, and you’re good to go, but where did that pesky vaccination card get to?

A small card can easily be misplaced, but what can you do if you’ve lost your COVID-19 vaccination card?

Before you misplace the card, make sure you snap a photo of the front and back, and save the image. Do not post it to social media due to personal information listed on the form, the Detroit Free Press reported.

If you didn’t receive one or you misplaced it, contact the location that dispensed the vaccine, the newspaper suggested.

If they cannot help, then contact your state health department’s immunization information system, as all vaccinations are reported to the state.

Finally, if you took part in the V-safe or VaxText programs after the first dose, you can get your records that way.

On Monday, Dr. Anthony Fauci said the government will not require a “vaccination passport,” CBS News reported.

However, some vacation destinations, including cruise lines and sports venues have said they require proof of vaccination, Forbes reported.

New York state launched a passport app to upload proof of vaccination or a negative test that can be scanned before entering a business, CBS News reported. In contrast, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis banned vaccine passports statewide. Other states may follow suit.
