Woman uses bra to restrain victim during burglary, police say

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. — A woman used a bra to restrain a victim during a burglary after finding people in a house that was supposed to be empty, police said.

Jeremy Appleton and Andrea Roton broke into the home July 19 believing the family had gone to the airport, WJAC reported. However, three juveniles were inside, Explore Jefferson reported.

Roton used a bra to restrain a victim, while the couple ransacked the house, stealing an undisclosed amount of prescription medication and eating food out of the cupboards.

Appleton left in a vehicle as troopers arrived, leaving Roton behind. Appleton was taken into custody shortly later.

Roton assaulted one person as she fled the house. She later returned after all of the family were out and refused to come out. Police slid through a window and took Roton into custody.

Roton is facing various charges including with burglary, criminal trespass, theft and harassment, Explore Jefferson reported.

Appleton was charged with two county of driving under the influence, burglary and criminal trespass.

Roton and Appleton are being held at the Jefferson County Jail.
