ORLANDO, Fla.,None — Two people are dead after an SUV collided with a motorcycle on Thursday, according to the Orlando Police Department. The crash happened on Conroy Road and Hidden Beach Boulevard (see map) .
When police arrived at the scene, they said they saw the maroon SUV flipped upside down in the middle of Conroy Road and next to it was the motorcycle on its side.
Pieces of both vehicles were scattered across the street as the Orlando police officers worked to document the scene. Police said the cause of the crash is not known.
Neighbors told WFTV that it is not uncommon for people to zip down the road.
Resident Hilton Demelo was sitting inside his house when he heard the motorcycle zoom past, and then he said he heard the impact.
"It was a loud bang, very big bang, almost like an explosion. Which I'm assuming it was a very tragic impact," Demelo said.
The names of the people who died have not been released.
