Anicia Yankton was shot and killed by her husband, Andreau Yankton, who then walked to the parking lot and turned the gun on himself.

The Orlando Publix was bustling with customers around 8:00pm on March 2, when Andreau Yankton walked into the store. After spending several minutes inside, he waited in line to see his estranged wife, Anicia Yankton. When she realized he was in her line, he pulled out a .38-caliber revolver and shot her once in the face.

A fellow cashier rushed to Anicia's side, but she was already dead. Customers and employees panicked and scrambled to duck for cover.

In the meantime, Andreau walked quickly from the store with his hands in front of him and then used the same gun to shoot himself once in the chest. He was pronounced dead a few minutes later at a local hospital.

In that time, the investigator witnessed her leave the store with that co-worker and later reported to Andreau that it appeared the two were involved in a romantic relationship.

Police don't know if Andreau planned to kill himself. Detectives said they never found a suicide note.

Andreau Yankton had a sordid past with another partner, too. WFTV learned that he used to harass her on a daily basis. After that relationship, police said he would call the woman 30 to 50 times a day at work, until she filed stalking charges. He was never arrested in that case.
