WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. lawmakers are holding a hearing on Capitol Hill this week after a killer whale attacked and killed a SeaWorld trainer.
Eyewitness News reported in February when Tilikum the killer whale killed trainer Dawn Brancheau.
Florida has the most marine mammals in captivity, with nearly 400 animals in 14 parks.
Lawmakers want to hear testimony from experts about marine mammals in captivity.
The hearing is scheduled for Tuesday.
