Cecilia Bernier offered to resign Friday, just days after a chaotic town hall meeting. During the meeting, her husband allegedly shoved Mayor Gary Bruhn, knocking him unconscious.

Bruhn wanted to fire Cecilia Bernier because of how she handled the scandal involving former Police Chief Daniel Saylor, who is accused of covering up his friend's child sex battery case.

Bernier is offering to stay on until a replacement can be found.
