Woman Tied Up, Raped During Home Invasion

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A woman was forced into her home at gunpoint, raped and then robbed early Saturday morning, Orange County deputies said. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. at a home in a Southchase subdivision near Wetherbee Road and the Florida Turnpike.

Investigators told Eyewitness News the victim was smoking a cigarette in her garage when a black male got out of a gold car and forced her inside her home at gunpoint. Investigators said the victim was then tied up and sexually battered. The man then proceeded to steal several items from the victim's residence, according to a sheriff's spokesman.

The man, who is still at large, is described as a black male in his mid-20s with a thin build, and approximately 6-feet 2-inches tall. Officials said the man was wearing black clothing as well as a black baseball cap.
