Worker Allegedly Sold Drugs At Barber Shop

ORLANDO, Fla. — An Orlando barber shop was back open Thursday after police arrested a worker for allegedly doing more than cutting hair. Investigators said he was selling drugs.

Officers raided the Tight Cutz barber shop in the Washington Shores Shopping Center along Columbia Drive near John Young Parkway Wednesday night (see map).

Damian Reed is accused of selling marijuana from the back door of the shop. The owner said he had no idea one of his employees was wrapped up in illegal activity.

"I didn't know what was going on. I wasn't aware what was going on," owner Andre Chodry said.

Police cordoned off the parking lot during their investigation and left the shop with at least one plastic tub.

No one else was arrested in the raid.
